.... but wait a min! Wasn't the cause for the coup a direct result of the death of that police woman who discovered that the T&T authorities were importing copious amounts of drugs into T&T? I recall that after she went to Abu Bakr and exposed what was going on, an officer shot her in her head during training. This is what sparked the so called Coup which was actually a mass arrest of the political players responsible for her death and the importing of drugs into Trinidad and Tobago. Did I get something wrong here? Did the Trinidad authority not admit what they were doing was wrong and, as a result for Bakr surrender was provided amnesty? I recall that roughly 2 years later, they dissolved the amnesty but did not rearrest anyone. So the real question here is.... what type of political game were we watching, and what does Bakr know that he isn't telling. What quiet deal was done? ...and the number #1 question is, what role did the US government play in this. 1996...
